It will give you a basic understanding of how much traffic each keyword is receiving, and what keywords are most popular.

Once you have compiled a list of good keywords, then your next step should be to narrow it down to about ten keywords. The ten keywords should be your main keywords. What you can do next is take your top 10 keywords and enter each one into the Google Keyword Tool, the tool will pull up some more keywords that are related to each of your main keywords. For each main keyword you can build longtail keywords from that, this will give you the most SEO benefit.

The Google Keyword Tool can be found at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

What Anchor Text Should I use to build links?

There is the common saying, “A link, is a link, is a link”, this is true. However, a good link is better than a regular link. The more optimized your link building is, the more successful your search engine rankings can become. Using the correct anchor text to build links to the corresponding web pages is one of the most vital parts of link building.

Choosing the correct anchor text should be based off the content of the page that you are linking too. You should have a clearly defined goal for the keyword ranking of your specific webpage. If for example your main keyword that the page is optimized with is “SEO Tips”, then you should incorporate the words SEO, and Tips, into the anchor text. Ideally the two words would be right next to each other or only be separated by un counted words in the search engines. If you us a word such as “a”, or “for” between your keywords, then you will have the same effect as if the keywords were right next to each other. This is because the search engines will automatically remove those types of words in order to find the true content of the page. So you could structure the example keyword from above like this if you were using it as anchor text, “Beginner SEO and Tips to Rank”. Even though the word “and” is between the two keywords, the search engines still view it as “SEO Tips”.

If you can use the above method to build links to your web pages, then you should have a more effective link building campaign that provides you with top keyword rankings.

By: Kaung

The Beginning of The Death of SEO?

Webmaster Articles

Search Engine Optimization

SEO

Showmoney stated in his blog that he does not believe there will be future in SEO. After reading the whole post, I have to say I agree with him on the fact that Google’s SERPS results seem to be effected by Google Toolbar Data, Google User History, and Google Analytics data. Google also starts to sway to methods how other search engines utilized: example Alexa, where all the results ranks mostly depend on the social voting and the installation and surfing through with the toolbar.

Also optimizing the title tags and meta descriptions start to show little or no effects in ranking. A site can be completely unoptimized but if it has contents that will attract the readers (quality or trashy contents), it will definitely get a vote on the social voting system, which will give points for it to have a chance to be shown as higher ranking than similar sites.

Do you think SEO will die out in future?

By: Kaung | ChitChat247.com | KMKBlog.com

Learn, Get Help with SEO & Have Fun!

Reviews

Webmaster Articles

Search Engine Optimization

SEO

As stated in my previous articles, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is very important in getting organic and quality traffic. First I thought those questions are asked just for arguing sakes but as more and more of similar questions arouse, now they bother me.

The side supporting search engine marketing claims that you can get the sites and all pages ranked well and found well if you do solely of link building. And predictably, the side supporting content claims content is the king and the way to go because great quality contents will naturally make people link to your sites/pages. All statements provided from each perspective are misleading.

What both sides is missing is the understanding that in SEO, both search marketing and content are equally important and the methods must be used together to see a success. You can’t just say one is required more than the other. Think about it. As a graphic designer, which do you need to have? Computer or Graphic Software? As a writer, do you need a computer or word software? Do you need your arms or legs? In all sceneries, you need both to accomplish. Keep in mind that in Search Engine Optimization, there are many ways to make your site exposed and there is no the best and the right way in SEO. For a shorter period of time, true search marketing is good because you get links and rank higher, and content is necessary because your content will be linked and referred to naturally. For for a long run, when the search engines update rankings, you will be in deep trouble and your site ranking and all the “half efforts” you have put in will be gone down the sewer because no contents mean no search engine crawling, no search engine crawling can also leads to previously built links taken out. However if you have had used both methods concurrently and both executed correctly you will maintain your site status regardless as long as you have both content and do search engine marketing.

“Thanks, but I still think [SEM]/[Content] is better!”. Well, if you’re that stubborn there is nothing I can say or force you to do; you will learn the hard way then. Think about this. Because you have quality contents, as said before, your site will be a reference to others and back links will be built naturally and you will be rewarded by search engines. However you can’t state concretely that that will happen just like that in a few days because to make that happen, you have to put effort into creating contents. Now if you do search engine marketing, true your site will get many back links instantly but in search engines’ “eyes”, such speed in acquiring links is just by the method of manipulation (link farming). Search engines may check your site for content and if not contents are found, your search marketing method will be marked as automated linking and they will penalize your site.

If you create quality contents and no one knows about it or if you have many back links/links but no good contents, you’re just walking in circle the pool of absence of growth and walking at the border where at any given time you will fail with your site/project.

So what are the true right ways for SEO? Like I said, there is no right way and you have to utilize all the methods together for a better yield or to reach the “threshold” to see growth and success in your site. For true success, a combination of link building, social networking, social marketing, production of press releases, public relations, viral and individual marketing, word of mouth referring, creating quality attention capturing contents, link exchanges (and all other methods you have heard of) is necessary.

By: Kaung | ChitChat247.com | KMKBlog.com

Keyword Density – Its Importance in SEO

Webmaster Articles

Keyword

Keyword Density

Search Engine Optimization

SEO

Keyword density means the ratio of the keyword to the total number of words printed on a given page in a website. In SEO, its importance cannot be underestimated because it could spell the difference between visibility and oblivion.

Search engine result pages simply show which sites have high rankings. Needless to say, those that occupy the first page are those that have managed well and improved their keyword density in the contents that they load in their site.

On the part of search engines, an article containing a higher density of a keyword has a better chance of getting a higher ranking on a result page. The higher the percentage of the keyword is to the total number of words, the higher the ranking a particular content gets. This has a certain limit of course. Although different search engines have their own way of determining the density of a keyword, this general truth about keyword density generally holds true.

There are some tips on how keyword density in a website could be improved. Writing sentences that use the important keywords is one. A good writer can do this – one who can repeat the same words many times in his article and yet keeping readability at a maximum and redundancy at a minimum. Instead of using synonyms for the keyword, repeating the same would significantly increase keyword density.

Repetition here does not mean stuffing in meaningless sentences or unrelated ideas. Although this trick could work for some websites, latest technology would eventually develop a tool to catch these unscrupulous “webmasters” who try to deceive search engines and eventually the users. Useful content, worth of ideas and information that a visitor can get out of the article should still be the main focus of the repetition.

Using keywords that are not relevant could only result to getting web traffic that is high in quantity but low in quality. Therefore, when creating a new page or editing existing ones, it is important to use only the most relevant keywords or key phrases. Maintain high SEO ranking by the intelligent use of keyword density in web content articles.

By: Kaung | ChitChat247.com | KMKBlog.com
