A well written press release is a great method of gaining exposure for your product or service and can lead to media engagements like TV appearances, Radio Interviews, etc. There are many different ways of writing a press release but there are a few components that all press releases should have. These components are:

Release Time

– The release time of a press release is where you would note “For Immediate Release” or “Release Before or After Date” followed by a specific date for releases that cannot be published instantly.

Headline

– Your title must engage the reader into wanting to read your content. If you have well written press release but your title is not compelling your press release may be overlooked and passed by in favor of a one with a more interesting headline.

Summary

– summary is a sentence or short paragraph that comes after your headline. Here is where you continue to attract people into your story by summarizing the information in your press release with a statement that keeps the reader interested. However, you hold a little information back as well.

Dateline

–You will give distribution date of your press release in this section, then the person’s hometown or company presenting the news, and finally the start of the first paragraph.

Body

– This is the main area of your press release. You should keep it uncomplicated, brief and to the point. The word count should be between 175 and 300 words. Use bullets where they are required and organize paragraphs for easy reading. Your press release is meant to intrigue the media to contact you for further information. You should add your contact information and website

About Us/ Boilerplate

– Not everyone uses a boilerplate. However, this the perfect place to add some brief information about your company background, about the person, organization, or company issuing the press release.

Call to Action

– Its a one-sentence closure following the about us/boilerplate of the press release, and starting with something like “For more information about us” followed by a media contact person’s name and phone number, and sometimes email address.

Contact Info

– You should include as much information as possible, including a full media contact name, phone number, and email address. You may also include a mailing address, cell phone and fax number.

Closing

– To end your press release, enter ### on a blank line at the end of the press release. Do not give any information after ### because it will not be published.

These are the general components of a press release that you should keep in mind while writing one.

There is no fix number of variables when it comes to landing pages. However, there are some elements that can be considered as the most important components of successful landing pages. Given below are elements that should be kept in mind while designing a landing page.

Customer’s Knowledge

Understanding your target audience is the basis of any online or offline business. You should be clear about the actions that you want your visitors to take. There should not be any confusion about the ultimate goal of your landing page.

Visibility

All the important details which help in establishing customer trust such as contact information (e-mail, phone, chat, etc) should be easily visible to the customer.

Layout

Consistent layout and design is an important factor. Visitors browsing other pages on your website should be able to access the contact points and primary navigation from the same area which they saw on the landing page.

Price and Delivery

The price of a product should be presented clearly to the visitor. It should also be easily accessible to the user and if your website caters to international customers then international pricing or calculation should also be shown with the product.

Adding the time that it will take you to deliver the product is also a good idea. For example, writing “Delivery within 5 days” is a positive statement for customers. The “Add to Cart Button” should be close to the product and the information about your product return policy should also be clearly presented.

Another important thing is that the security seals should be working and be placed prominently enough to assure the customer that it’s safe to buy a product from your website.

The customer should also be able to print a copy of your landing page with all the important details such as price, contact information, customer reviews, etc.

Products

The products that you display on your landing page should be related to the theme of your website. A collection of different products on the same page may put customers off. Also, a good option that you can give to customers is the shopping cart “save for later” option. The representation of the product should be clear and appealing.

Describing the product in the right manner is important as well. Product description should be detailed enough to keep the visitor’s interest in the product alive. The product details should be presented very clearly so that the customer gets to know everything about it. You should have a section for customer product reviews. If you offer products that have similar features then there should be a section in your landing page that provides a comparison between these products. This will help the customer to decide which product he wants to choose.

On the whole, your landing page should be well organized with all the important page elements present in their proper places.

You can profit from a domain in many different ways. You can promote it yourself through advertising and search engine optimization, buy and flip domains to make some quick cash, sell domains in packages that contain other items related to your niche, etc. With so many options available, why should you park a domain?

Actually, all of these methods are effective in making money, the difference between them lies in the amount of effort that is required by the owner of the domain. Developing website is a time consuming job if you’re doing it yourself. In order to get traffic you have to continuously promote your website. There are so many ways in which you can promote your website and there is a temptation to utilize as many methods as possible. You can write blog posts about your product on your blog to update people, create Youtube videos that explain the working of a product or give information about a service that you offer, write article that contain keywords and provide backlinks to your website in them, etc. While these methods can bring traffic to your website, it may not be possible to utilize all of them if you have a short amount of time to give to your online business.

Another method that people use for making money with domains is flipping them without doing much website development. This method is for people who want to make profit from the domain name alone. It can be used to make quick profits, but you shouldn’t accept to make a fortune by selling a domain 24 hours after purchasing it. You can earn profits by continuing to buy and sell domains.

Selling a package is also something that domain owners do. You can combine your domain with other items and make more money from the package than what you would make from the domain name sold alone. For example, you can sell a domain name in combination with a related software and e-book.

The advantage that you get with domain parking is that you don’t have to spend time on developing your website and you can sell it when you think that it has enough traffic to make you a profit. With domain parking you can earn money when someone clicks on the advertisements that are shown on your website that you have parked with a parking service company. The money that you make is shared between you and the company. Domain parking is a good option for people who are interested in running an online business but don’t have the time to pay attention to it. It is the type of business solution that can make you money even when you are sleeping.

If you are looking to build a website, then choosing the ‘correct’ domain name is where you start your online business venture from. By selecting a domain name that targets the specific keywords for your website you can bring a lot of targeted traffic to your website.

Choose a domain name that is exactly what your prospects are looking for. By including the keywords in your domain name that are targeted towards the customer, and including them in your website content and messages you can attract a lot of people to your website.

In order to find out what the customers desire you can get help from different software that monitor and record the exact terms what people type into the search engines when looking for something. “Adwords Keyword Tool” is one such tool that will help you understand how to market your product. You can simply type in the words that relate to your product or service and the keyword tool will generate a list of words along with the number of times they have been searched.

Keyword targeted domain names have great potential to bring in visitors. But the key factor is that how well you have researched your target market and how well you are attending to the needs of your customers. After you have put together a system of marketing you can use your domain name to design specific ad campaigns targeted to specific markets even if you are selling multiple products and services.

Some people also use their domain names like headers on classified ads. If you decide to have such a name then you divide it into several different parts. It should interest people with a little information that solves a specific problem, provides a benefit, or makes them curious. Your domain name should have as many of these “headline characteristics” as possible. Make the domain name catchy and collected.

Choosing a domain name that brings traffic requires a bit of research and brainstorming. If you carefully choose the key words that you will use in your domain name and website, not only will you do better on your search engine rankings, you will also attract a lot more people in your advertising campaigns.

Your domain name should have as many of these "headline characteristics" as possible. Make the domain name catchy and collected.

Choosing a domain name that brings traffic requires a bit of research and brainstorming. If you carefully choose the key words that you will use in your domain name and website, not only will you do better on your search engine rankings, you will also attract a lot more people in your advertising campaigns.

With so many people looking towards that internet marketplace to help them make some cash there are no shortages of money making opportunities. A lot of people are finding out that one of the better ways to make money online is to actually own a domain. The domain you own can be used in many different ways to make a profit. You could sell it to other people for a profit by auctioning it, keep it for a while and market it, then sell it for a larger profit, or just keep benefiting from the traffic that you are getting on your website.

Cashparking a website is a method or earning money from a domain, in which promoting your website to get traffic is optional. You also don’t have to auction sites in order to make a profit. Cashparking involves buying a domain name and allowing a parking service company to display advertisements on your website that are related to the keywords present in your website content. The keywords that you use will help in bringing traffic to your website. When the visitor will click on the ads you will earn money.

Cashparking is a good choice for many people because of the following reasons.

It is a Simple method: There are no long term marketing efforts involved in parking your website. All you require is a basic knowledge of keywords and search engine optimization that will help you choose a domain name and add keywords to your website. When you are done with setting up your domain and website, you can relax and see the system work.

Not a Time consuming Method: You may not have the time or don’t want to spend it on marketing your website and researching different techniques of bringing traffic to your website. With this method you can leave it to the parking service and continue to do other things that are a part of your daily routine.

Increase in Website Value: There are lots of factors that determine the value of a website including domain name, earnings, traffic, etc. However, the number of people visiting your website is the number 1 contributing factor in the price estimation of a website. A domain owner with high traffic can demand a lot more money from the buyer. With this method of advertising you will be bringing targeted traffic to your website, thus increasing its value.

Cashparking your website is a simple method of using the power of search engine optimization and advertising to make a profit from your domain. Although the profit you make from your website will be shared with parking company, you can still benefit from this easy method of “domaining” online.

In the last few years the blogging craze has taken over the internet and has become a worldwide phenomenon. Some people are using blogs to post events taking place in their everyday life while others are earning a living from it. For people who are thinking about starting a blog; choosing between blogging websites and buying their own domain can be a confusing question indeed. Some people may be impressed by the popularity of blogging sites and come to the decision that they are a good place to start, while other may prefer the independence of having a personal domain name.

Here are some pros and cons of both blogging platforms and hosted blogs.

Blogging Platforms

Pros:

Most popular hosted platforms like Wordpress and Blogger are free of cost. You can setup a blog in no time since everything is already done for you. Hosted blogs are easier to maintain and posting content on them is a simple process. You don’t have to worry about updates as they are done automatically. Another advantage is that you get ranked easily because your blog is on a domain that ranks well already.

Cons:

If you like to customize your blog then you may get frustrated with hosted platform. Of course, customizing options vary depending on the platform you choose .For example, Blogger.com has no categories option, Wordpress.com does not allow you to add advertisement to your template.

With hosted blogs, you do not own the URL; this may not be a problem for some but in the opinion of some professional bloggers it’s better to have your own URL because it looks more professional. Another problem with hosted blog platforms is that your blog may end up looking like others because the default templates get used over and over by new bloggers. You must also have knowledge of CSS and HTML to make changes. Changing domain name can also be a problem because you have to redirect traffic to the new domain and get ranked in search engine results from scratch.

Own Hosted Blog

Pros:
With your own hosted blog you have control on all aspects of the blog. You can design it to your liking; you can also use different plug-ins developed by users.
You also get you own URL which can be a big advantage because they look more professional and are more marketable.

Cons:

If you don’t have the necessary skills then the setup process can be difficult. You are required to arrange hosting, set up databases and then download the platform onto you own computer and then upload it via ftp onto your web hosting server. You can learn this from a tutorial, but there is also an alternate option which involves finding a web host that will install your blog platform for you. Some platforms like Wordpress give advice on how to do this by recommending platforms.

The blog platform itself is free, but you have to pay a yearly fee for your domain name and also a registration fee. The hosting fee is also paid on a yearly basis. New versions come out with time and you may find the updating process a bit complicated if you don’t know abut it. Similar to blog platforms, hosting systems have their problems and you should choose a good one if you want your own hosted blog.

If your aim is to develop a blog that can be used for a business or corporate purposes then a standalone blog will serve you better in the long run. You can hire someone to design it for you or learn the process yourself. If your purpose is to have a casual blog then the free option will work just fine.

AdSense is the most popular service going around but there are some people who prefer other services like Adbrite and Clicksor. In order to find out which is the best out of these three we have to take a look at some of their features and flaws.

Adbrite

AdBrite sells ad space on websites. It allows you to set your own ad rates, and approve or reject every ad that’s purchased for your site. AdBrite enables you to sell ads directly to your visitor and also through the sales team and marketplace.

You get 75% of the sale. 50% of AdBrite’s sales are generated from marketplace and sales team, while the other half are generated from users clicking “Your Ad Here” on their publisher’s sites.

AdBrite’s ads take a day or two to show up. Their network is not as large as Adsense so it takes a few months to build a client list and you will have to wait to see the same return you may get from Adsense right away. There is a 60 day payment rule.

Clicksor

With Clicksor you can get up to 60% of the advertising clicks revenues generated from your website. It allows you to check your progress through online real time stats. You will get paid according to their fortnightly payment schedule. $50.00 is the payment threshold and payments are made either by check or PayPal. Anything under $50 will be rolled into the next period. You can also earn additional money by underlining a selection of clickable text or putting targeted contextual banner on their websites.

Some people complain that their ads load very slowly. This may be because Clicksor does not generate code in an iframe; you have to load it directly on your page. The benefits on promoting their affiliate program seem to be important than actual PPC products. Although some CLICKSOR users are not sure if affiliates of Clicksor can also use Google due to Google’s TOS violation issue, others claim to have both programs running at the same time.

AdSense

With AdSense you can setup your ads easily and they show up within few hours. The management system and support is very good. Payments are made within 30 days. There is a high payout levels on websites that are text based and content oriented. The click rates are also high.

AdSense has strict acceptance policies and people get ban occasionally for random reasons, some are understandable, some are not. The payout is low on sites that are image based. There is also a limit on the number of ads that you can have on a page.

Considering the features and flaws of the three advertising platforms it can be concluded that the best platform for you really depends on the type of website you have. For instance, content based websites may make more money with Adsense advertisements and Adbrite may be a better choice if you have an image based website.
