Finding Wi-Fi Hotspots on Your iPhone
The iPhone consists of a built-in facility, which allows the user to search for Wi-Fi hotspots in any area. This facility can easily be accessed on the iPhone by tapping the Maps icon on the iPhone’s Home screen and then simply type ‘hotspot’ and a zip code for the area you wish to search in. If there are available hotspots in the area a map will be displayed with pushpins indicating the available hotspots for the iPhone.
The maps facility on the iPhone will only indicate the available hotspots, but do not indicate any further information on these hotspots, which may be a turn-off to a number of users, especially those looking for free hotspots.
There, however, exist a software application which allows the iPhone user to search for hotspots, paid or free and provide a short review on each hotspot in regards to signal strengths and more. This is a useful utility, which is available free of charge to iPhone users.
JiWire Wi-Fi Finder offers users a clean and user friendly interface allowing the user to search for Wi-Fi hotspots in more than 150 000 locations throughout 135 countries. Once you conduct a search and hotspots are found, you will be in a position to view the locations’ name, address and phone number. With JiWire Wi-Fi Finder you are able to find either free or paid hotspots and read short reviews on the signal strength at each available facility.
JiWire Wi-Fi Finder is a very easy-to-use application and best of all it is free! iPhone users can simply visit http://iphone.jiwire.com where more information can be viewed on the product and downloaded.
