Call Forwarding on iPhone
The iPhone offer users a cool feature not many know it had. Call forwarding allows the iPhone user to route all calls received to the iPhone number to a different phone number. Call forwarding has numerous advantages, which include the following:
• In the event of a battery replacement, all your calls can be forwarded to your office or home phone in the period your phone will be off.
• In the event of a flat battery being charged, you can divert all call received to another number and not miss any important call.
• When in an area with limited or no coverage, or roaming abroad, you may divert all calls to an Internet-based answering service, which will record messages and forward them to your iPhone as an e-mail attachment.
Two useful Internet-based answering services include www.grandcentral.com and www.callwave.com. These are complementary services to the iPhone and come highly recommended.
When activating or deactivating the call forwarding facility, you will need to be in an area where you have coverage.
Turning Call Forwarding On or Off
From the Home screen tap on ‘Settings’ > Call > Forwarding.
Now turn Call Forwarding on and tap in the number you wish to forward your calls to.
In order to turn Call Forwarding off, from the Home screen screen tap on ‘Settings’ > Phone > Call Forwarding and then turn it off. You will then start receiving calls again.
