Below are a couple of the most commonly asked questions by SEO enthusiasts of all levels. We have come up with as much important information for each subject as possible. The best way of determining the effectiveness of an SEO strategy is to try and test it yourself. However, knowing which strategies have had the most success can keep you ahead of your competitors in the marketplace. So try to learn of tried and proven strategies that you can use for your own marketing and SEO, and you will have a better chance at successful search engine rankings.
How do I locate the best keywords to use for my site?
This is one of the most common questions that people have when they are first starting out with online business. Most people understand that you need to have a set of keywords to attract customers from search engines. The problem is, most people don’t have a clue on how to locate good keywords with traffic.
One of the easiest ways to come up with keywords to use for your website is to use the free online tool provided by Google, this is called their Keyword Tool. This tool will allow you to enter in the most basic keyword that best relates to your website, and then it will provide you with a list of keywords and a traffic rating for each keyword. This tool is great for selecting keywords. It will give you a basic understanding of how much traffic each keyword is receiving, and what keywords are most popular.
Once you have compiled a list of good keywords, then your next step should be to narrow it down to about ten keywords. The ten keywords should be your main keywords. What you can do next is take your top 10 keywords and enter each one into the Google Keyword Tool, the tool will pull up some more keywords that are related to each of your main keywords. For each main keyword you can build longtail keywords from that, this will give you the most SEO benefit.

What Anchor Text Should I use to build links?
There is the common saying, “A link, is a link, is a link”, this is true. However, a good link is better than a regular link. The more optimized your link building is, the more successful your search engine rankings can become. Using the correct anchor text to build links to the corresponding web pages is one of the most vital parts of link building.
Choosing the correct anchor text should be based off the content of the page that you are linking too. You should have a clearly defined goal for the keyword ranking of your specific webpage. If for example your main keyword that the page is optimized with is “SEO Tips”, then you should incorporate the words SEO, and Tips, into the anchor text. Ideally the two words would be right next to each other or only be separated by un counted words in the search engines. If you us a word such as “a”, or “for” between your keywords, then you will have the same effect as if the keywords were right next to each other. This is because the search engines will automatically remove those types of words in order to find the true content of the page. So you could structure the example keyword from above like this if you were using it as anchor text, “Beginner SEO and Tips to Rank”. Even though the word “and” is between the two keywords, the search engines still view it as “SEO Tips”.
If you can use the above method to build links to your web pages, then you should have a more effective link building campaign that provides you with top keyword rankings.

For blogs, I would like to suggest to use the SEO plugins made available at Wordpress. Do you know what blog script are you going to use? Use tags in your blog post and tag clouds but do not have it excessively than necessary.
You can focus on a niche if you have time and thorough (from basic to advanced) knowledge of a certain niche. That way you can get targeted visitors and information on your blog will be useful and attract more visitors.
If you still want to start a blog of targeted niche but don’t have time, try getting ready with blog posts for a year worth or say; if you are intending to post 2 posts per month, write about 24 posts first. Then start your blog in that niche and use scheduled posting feature.
However if you don’t have much time (like me), start a general blog covering several topics and at times share some (basic or advanced) knowledgeable info on certain topic.
Best thing is to consult with other blog runners, the professional ones (not the ones like me haha). Sometimes they answer you with tips and guides.
