Netregistry & Netfleet Are Now Partners
I was surfing through the net for updates on the domains and the domain aftermarket and came across the news that Australia’s largest domain name registrar, Netregistry, is now a partner of Australia’s largest domain aftermarket, Netfleet. This is going to be the beginning of greater production and selling/buying of .au domain names.
I think it is the best for both of the large companies, and now the trading and marketing of .au domain names will just become easier. It will be like Godaddy and its aftermarket service. Likewise, Netregistry can also advertise or sell the domains listed at Netfleet domain aftermarket as featured or premium under their domain registrations or availabilities. Netregistry takes stake and if it hasn’t done so, it will have missed the opportunity to further expand the .au domain aftermarket potentials. Netregistry knows the potential of how far Netfleet can go and chosen to partner with it; as its CEO, Larry Bloch said, “We see significant growth in this area”
I have said the pros and I can also see few cons of initial struggles both companies may temporarily face while becoming partners. I do not know neither how close partners the two companies have become nor what are the deals made. To me, it seems if it is partnering as in “you do this for us and in return we’ll do this”, then I think the two needs to go in detail on the percentages each will be taking from each other; one for promoting the domain registrar, and the other for selling the domains listed at aftermarket.
But no doubt, the pros will outnumber the cons and the two companies will grow for sure, and will be selling more domain names and proving more site features while increasing domain buyers!
