Fate of Windows XP
Microsoft intends to halt sales of Windows XP products by June 30, 2008 and only continue to promote Vista products. Microsoft keeps claiming that Windows Vista is the winner and other OS produced are not as great, but the revenue reports are saying the opposite. Microsoft’s revenue is $300 million less than what most analysts had predicted with production of Vista.
Microsoft is being stubborn to change its mind in stopping sales of Windows XP, however it appears to be listening the voice of its consumers. [Save Windows XP] campaign started by InfoWorld in January, now has collected 164,817 signatures to its online petition [savexp.com] as of April 13th, 2008. More people are demanding that Microsoft should not stop OEM and shrink wrapped sales of Windows XP as planned on June 30, 2008, but instead keep it available and continue the sales.
Do you think Windows XP should be discontinued and completely replaced by Vista which currently has many hardware and software troubles?

Me gustaría comentar que tras un año de pelea con Windows Vista intentando adaptar mis programas a dicho sistema operativo, lo cual he conseguido con mucho esfuerzo, finalmente he vuelto con mi Windosw XP, por tanto si lo que desean es un sistema operativo estable que no de ni un solo problema lo recomiendo.
