What is The Importance of Dental Hygiene?
The importance of dental hygiene cannot be overstated enough. Having a healthy mouth, teeth and gums is an important part of being able to eat, talk and sing. Having a healthy mouth is needed to keep you healthy. Cleaning your teeth three times a day and flossing twice a day is important to keeping a healthy mouth. Gum disease can happen when we are not keeping our mouths clean and well taken care of. Gum disease is the leading cause of losing teeth other than accident or illness. This can lead you to having to wear dentures and that, my friend, is uncomfortable indeed. Brushing your teeth three times a day will help prevent cavities, which left unfilled, can lead to tooth decay. Tooth decay can also lead to tooth loss and the aforementioned dentures. By not taking care of your mouth, you will also end up with very bad breath, which will leave you very friendless indeed. Dental health is required to keep teeth and gums healthy enough so that you can chew food. Without teeth, the painful option of the dentures is the only way to eat unless the food is soft.
