• Your business is more competitive

The disadvantages to working online:
• Longer hours
• Need to be available constantly
• More money to maintain site
• More stock to store– no storage
• Less time with family
• Need someone to design your website – more money
• Site may have technical problems on a consistent basis
• No domain name available that matches your company’s
name
• Some clientele may want to touch the merchandise before they buy and they will be unable to
• Website may not be successful
• If another company builds your site, it may be difficult to communicate what you desire
• Your work can be copied – someone else could benefit from all your work
• Addiction to checking website – which can lead to problems
• Loss of interest with the outside world
• Unable to have a close relationship with your clientele
• Website may be hacked into and your clientele’s personal information may be compromised
